Forestry Mulching

WHAT IS FORESTRY MULCHING?

Forestry Mulching is the practice of utilizing mechanized equipment to cut down and reduce unwanted vegetation.  This is primarily accomplished using a grinding head or attachment on tracked equipment.  Resulting in a defined finish product tailored to a clients desire.
Modern forestry mulching provides an economical and ecologically sound solution to clearing land for use.  Impact to soil and property is greatly reduced by having only one machine to do all the work instead of various pieces of equipment.  The unwanted trees and brush are chipped into a mulch layer which aids in erosion control and decomposes to provide nutrients back into the soil.

Benefits of Forestry Mulching

  • No need to haul off debris.
  • No burn piles.
  • Doesn't disturb root systems of keeper trees.
  • The mulch byproduct becomes a natural erosion barrier and nutrient source for the soil underneath.
  • More economical and environmentally friendly.
  • Rubber tracked equipment does not disturb the soil compared to the typical steel tracked equipment.
  • No permits or silt fencing needed since the soil is not disturbed.
